Erin is only a few minutes’ drive from Middelburg town, approximately halfway between Johannesburg/Durban and the Garden Route/Cape Town. Located just off the N9 between Middelburg and Graaff-Reinet, this farm homestead provides an excellent stopover point.

Enjoy watching the sunset over the Renosterberg mountain in the west, perhaps with a sundowner and a braai (BBQ). Spend your time going for a walk, watching the birds and the stars, or sitting back and enjoying tranquillity at its Karoo best. The du Toit family own this piece of paradise, and the whole family gets involved in making the guests feel at home. Expect a warm Karoo welcome from Justin, Freyni and their sons, Max and Jack.

The cottage that we stayed in was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The fridge and air conditioning were very welcome as we arrived in extreme heat.

We absolutely love staying here. We come every year and are made to feel part of the family. The meals are excellent! They go above and beyond to make your stay as comfy as possible. And our dogs love Rosemary’s cottage…what a gem in the Karoo! Thank you!

We stayed in the Rosemary lodge at Erin's on a stopover from Knysna. Exceeded expectations. Large rooms and a very large steep with a fenced in section. Pet friendly if you want your furry friends to run around.

Cute cottage with very comfy beds. Just far enough off the road to not hear the traffic, but good for one night stop over. All the necessities and nice shower. Pretty views of the karoo landscape. Would go back.
